AMHERST, MA– The Freedom Trails Gallery at Valley Frame Works is pleased to announce Crossing Boundaries Part II. The gallery will be open Thursday March 1, 2012 as part of the Amherst Arts Walk. This collaborative exhibition of photographic works by artist and gallery owner Ani Rivera, and gallery director Anna Rotty, intends to address techniques and photographic process through intergenerational perspectives. The show represents a variety of photographic based work, connecting analog and digital processes along with mixed media. This exhibition hopes to exemplify today’s expanding definition of the photographic image. The show will represent new work created as a result of the performance art piece held during the opening reception. Local Musician Ricardo Frota will be playing an instrumental Christmas tree from 6:00- 7:00 at the gallery. As part of the Freedom Trails Gallery policy, a percentage of sold works will go toward the gallery’s collaborating non-profit partner organizations within our community, such as the Stavros Center for Independent Living and Friends of Children.
