A+B= BC @ The Freedom Trails Gallery ™
As we move forward with positive changes at Valley Frame Works, we like to term what we envision as “thinking Outside the Fame”. We enjoy our work, but also working in developing new relationships with local/regional stakeholders in order to improve the work those non-profits do for the less fortunate in our community.
Thus our A+B= BC motto stands for: “Art + Business = Building Community”. This motto reflects our on-going projects with local non-profits and one African based group, Kupanda International in Kenya, which are represented at the Freedom Trails Gallery ™. By participating in our A+B=BC Program, you automatically become a “responsible shopper”;’ when purchasing a work of art at the Freedom Trails Gallery ™, 100% of the sale of the art work will go directly to the non-profits we work with, translating into real dollars that our local non-profits need so desperately. We earn our income solely on the sale of the frame that accompanies a particular artwork, Giclee print, or poster.
If you don’t have a budget to purchase a work of art, but still need works of art for a new display, improve or install a new look for part of a wing at a new hospital or business, we also provide free, high-resolution Giclee prints when you purchase the frame and mat at Valley Frame Works. In this particular sale, when you select a free image from the Freedom Trails Archival Collection, we provide 5% of the total sale to one of the local non-profits in our gallery, and we let you pick which one. This new and exciting approach also works with individual artists that will become part of our gallery roster, and which Anna Rotty, Freedom Trails Gallery Director, will be developing. In the case of individual artists work, 25% of the sale of an artists work will go directly to one of the non-profits we have “adopted”; 75% of the sale goes to the artist; we make our income on the sale of the mat/frame. See our exhibit submission form here.
All this reflects a triple win win win for your patronage; your purchase offers tremendous help and generosity to the non-profits and organizations which we will continue to add to our roster; individual artists in our community who are struggling in these difficult economic times; and of course, keeps Valley Frame Works a staple as the oldest custom framing business in Amherst.
To be part of the A+B= BC Program, just let us know what you’re looking for in terms of art works; subject matter, medium, photography, period or aesthetic, so we can assemble a collection that may fit your display and art work needs. There is no project too small or too large that we cannot handle. We are also available to assist you in acquiring special collections-tell us your interest and we will work with you in developing and growing your own unique collection.
