The Freedom Trails Gallery is pleased to present a photographic exhibition by Norm Vexler this summer. Vexler specializes in nature photography, in particular photographing underwater marine life. He has traveled to a number of places including the Philippines, Indonesia, the Solomon Islands and Fiji. This exhibition will feature photographs from a trip to the Galapagos Islands
“For the past 25 years, my traveling adventures have taken me to some of the most remote locations on the planet. I love to photograph nature. Whether it is an amazing underwater creature or a spectacular sunset, there is a hidden force within that attracts me to capture the image. The photo is only a moment in time, and as beautiful as the scene might be, nothing can compare to the actual living experience”, he describes.
The exhibit will be shown from June 5th to July 26th with the opening reception on June 7th during the Amherst Arts Walk. As part of the Freedom Trails Gallery policy, 25% of sold works will go to one of our non-profit partners. The organization that Norm Vexler has chosen to contribute to is the Friends of Children Inc., an organization that provides advocacy for children in the Foster Care System throughout Massachusetts, one of which is exposure to photographic processes.
